BroadSign, the US based digital signage software provider has announced a collaboration with SeeSaw Networks - the on-line media sales aggregator for the digital out-of-home marketplace.
This new link will allow media planners and buyers to view in real-time, advertising inventory on BroadSign powered networks. They will be able to purchase space and to execute their campaigns directly from SeeSaw’s online media planning service (SeeSawAds.com) - and also to directly check all proof-of-play reporting.
For BroadSign customers - this means that they can easily opt-in to the SeeSaw service and benefit from their advertising reach.
SeeSaw has been expanding its affiliations rapidly over the last weeks, it now covers 36 digital signage networks in 25 different environments - including coffee shops, universities, restaurants, dental offices and airports across the USA. BroadSign currently have more than 100 networks in 25 countries.
AKA COMMENT
SeeSaw have seen the opportunity of pulling the fragmented digital media market into one ‘easy-to-purchase’ block and BroadSign (through their recent work with Arbitron) have committed themselves to providing high levels of media compliancy from their content distribution platform. The two companies are taking the requirements of the media sales industry seriously - and this is another link that takes the industry forward.
API development (allowing two different software systems to talk directly to each other) is an exciting area of development in the digital signage marketplace. We have recently reported companies using API integration to enable each other; ie BroadSign/SeeSaw or TruMedia/Scala or Cognovision/Capital - and also to enable their customers; ie EnQii/Pharmacy Channel, Scala/Toronto Wellness Center. This is both another form of consolidation and a coming-of-age for different confident businesses within the sector.
